        Dermabrasion works on shallow acne scars. For decades, sandpaper was used to off-injurious skin to rub and let the new skin grow in its place, but now machines with rotating diamond rimmed wheels are used. The laser is a recent renewal emerging technology, with the same effects as dermabrasion. It's more easy to use a laser than the dermabrasion or other methods of controlling milia spots.

        Chemical peel is only for the brightest of cases of milia acne. It covers the application of the various types of acid to the skin that shows what layer should be removed so that a smoother layer can occur.
