        The milium (or milia) is a common and benign skin caused by an accumulation of fats in the skin pores. The eruptions are neither painful nor contagious.
Age: the milia may appear at birth or baby in the next weeks.
Duration: It lasts a few weeks, but rarely more than 1 or 2 months.

        Small white buttons as big as heads of pins on the nose, forehead, chin or cheeks (sometimes on the gums and palate). Consult the doctor if the buttons persist for more than 3 months.
